We are a small group that meets once a fortnight excluding Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays. The meetings take place in our own homes in rotation. Rowland Molony a retired English teacher leads our group, sets us homework, reads us the work of other writers and sometimes reads us pieces of his own. Usually we do our writing as homework and then take it in turns reading out what we have written at the meetings. Rowland usually gives us a choice of two different subjects or styles of writing. Whether you prefer prose or poetry you are catered for! We also join in a general discussion about each others efforts!
We pay Rowland £2 per session to cover the cost of photocopying and his time and research.
Our hostess for the evening provides us with tea, coffee and cake or biscuits afterwards.
It is a warm friendly group and we all support one another and just enjoy having a lovely evening!
If anyone else would like to join or has any questions do ring me Frances Lee on 01297 23589
