At the July meeting we welcomed one guest and a new member. Colin Pady gave a slide show titled from Carthorses to Computers.  He is the third generation farmer at Horriford Farm at Colyford. He described the great changes in agriculture over the twentieth century, accompanied by photographs from his family archive. It was a busy meeting with many plans to make and to reflect an action packed June.

Members are sending off their entries to the WI creative writing competiton and we are going on walks to clock up 50 miles for the WI Triathlon  the swimmers are swimming and the cyclists are cycling.  Hopefully we are getting fitter in the process. One walk was great fun when we walked along Seaton Esplanade in glorious sunshine and enjoyed a cup of coffee halfway at the Chine.

There is no meeting in August but we are looking forward to Colyford Garden party at the beginning of the month.
